Another of many possible manifestations of The Dark, Lethe is a river that winds its way through The Crossroads and which leads to The Great Beyond. It is perhaps the most dangerous of all The Dark's incarnations, teeming with Fargone, cold, with drifting icebergs and powerful undercurrents, and with noxious fumes that can cause memory loss – deadly to The Departed. The Dark tends to manifest as Lethe for those Departed who have some innate fear of water – particularly for those who died in water.
