Quick Start and Installation
1. Download
Use the project's GitHub Releases page. Public v0.7.13 assets are available as:
- Windows NSIS
.exeand.msi; - Linux AppImage and
.deb.
Do not substitute a development artifact from an Actions run for the published release asset.
2. Verify
Where an attestation is published:
gh attestation verify "PATH_TO_ASSET" --repo lukeskytorep-bot/AI-RV-Harness
Attestation proves build provenance; it is not Windows Authenticode signing and does not guarantee software correctness.
3. First start
Configure a provider connection and API key, load models, select the default Viewer and create a Profile. A new Profile creates:
- one Conversation Workspace;
- one RV Workspace.
The optional Human IS-BE name is a display identity, not a provider connection and does not require an API key.
4. Choose the right area
- Conversations: ordinary chat, attachments and optional read-only Viewer Learning.
- RV Sessions: Manual RV or controlled Automatic RV.
- Training: factory/partial curricula and Viewer learning.
- Research: locked studies and blinded evaluation.
5. Data compatibility
The v0.7.13 mainline uses schema 27. The controlled current-epoch path covers exact-green 23→24→25→26→27. Legacy databases are stopped before automatic migration and offered the preservation/start-fresh path. Keep a personal backup before upgrades.
6. Linux
For AppImage, make the downloaded file executable if necessary. For DEB, install through the normal package tool for the distribution. Consult the release notes for exact filenames and supported environments.
7. Privacy
Application records are local, but prompts and selected content are sent to the external AI provider chosen by the user. Review the provider's own privacy and retention terms.
