This is my personal recommended basic MPC-HC settings. Please see the image for the settings, they are under "Options".

Increase Recent File Number

In order to store more playback position, you can increase these values in MPC-HC:

• Recent Files Number: 1000 (MAX)
• Remember Pos For Longer Than: 1 (mins)
