Demonstration Steps

We are going to step through a tiny analysis of census data for Asheville.

Our steps will be to:

0. Introduce the tools and the development environment.
1. (NB-1) Business understanding and discovery: Here we must discover what topics / questions / concerns our sponsor / customer has. We must also discover what data sources are available to the project.
2. (NB-2) Data preparation: We will access and wrangle the data into a form suitable for analysis.
3. (NB-3) Exploration and hypothesis formation: We will explore the data using descriptive statistics and plotting. We will formulate a model to test.
4. (NB-4) Evaluation and Interpretation: We will evaluate the model and interpret the results (we will use another analysis as the census data work is just beginning)
