Summary: Smaller model of Earth for Lunar Work

Created: 2008–11–03 14:24

Status: Released

Category: Request

From: rhirsh

Version: 2.0

Released_In: 2.1

Description:

When working with simulations on the moon, the Earth is a small blue ball. The level of resolution in the Earth.map file is ~1GB, since it contains information down to the "street" level on the Earth. Is there a lower res version of the Earth I could use that would require less memory/disk space for simulations that are done far from Earth?
