MAP OF ZORKEMON: RUSTY PEBBLE VERSION

The map consists of six rooms: Bedroom, house, town square, laboratory, backyard and warehouse. Each room has some items, and some also contain NPCs. The player is able to move freely from one room to another following the paths marked by the red arrows, with the exception of the warehouse, which door is actually locked and requires a key to be opened.

LIST OF ROOMS AND ENTITIES

Bedroom

The bedroom is the room the player starts in.

  • Bed: The bed is an ungrabbable object that only serves as decoration.
  • Bookcase: The bookcase is a container type object that initially contains a book.
  • Book: This book gives the player hints about how to win the battle event later in the game.

House

This room represents the bottom floor of the main character's house. The layout of the house is meant to represent that of the player's house in pretty much every Pokèmon game.

  • Mother: The first NPC the character will encounter. She will heal the player if he's hurt.
  • TV: Ungrabbable object. The mother is watching it anyway.

Town square

Also known simply as "town" in the commands, it's the center piece all the main rooms connect to.

  • Larry: The player's rival. The objective of the game is to defeat this guy.
  • Check: The player can obtain a $100 worth check from Larry by talking to him before finding the professor in the warehouse. However, the check is only meant to tease the player, as there's no bank in the game to exchange it for money.
  • Monster: Larry's monster. It's randomly generated every time you play.

Laboratory

Professor Stump's laboratory.

  • Professor Stump: She actually is not here at the start of the game. The player must first find her in the warehouse.
  • Capsule: Professor Stump will give this to the player after talking to her in the laboratory.
  • Machine: Ungrabbable object placed only for decoration.
  • Aquarium: Container type object. Unlike other containers, however, this one is empty. The player can place items inside the aquarium, but it serves no purpose whatsoever.

Backyard

Professor Stump's backyard. It's in deplorable condition and the shrubs have grown to exaggerated proportions.

  • Monster: This randomly generated monster is the one the player can capture with the capsule.
  • Fruit: A complete red herring of an item. Trying to eat this will actually damage the player.
  • Key: The warehouse key. Necessary to progress with the game.

Warehouse

This building seems to be property of Professor Stump's as well. It's where she hides all her stuff. The player will need a key in order to access it.

  • Professor Stump: The professor's initial placement. After talking to her here, she will go to her laboratory.
  • Box: A container type object with a magazine inside.
  • Magazine: Reading this will actually damage the player. Unlike the fruit, however, the magazine will stay in the player's inventory. It serves no other purpose.
