Battleship was originally a board game which was then developed into multiple video games for different gaming consoles and for the PC.

The game is between two players where each player takes turns trying to sink all the ships of the other player. Players will be presented with two grids, one for setting where their own ships will be, and one for marking where they have attempted to hit an enemy ship. Players will not be able to see where the opposing ships are located, and must rely on guessing and their attacking grid. If a player successfully hits an enemy ship, the opposing player will say "hit", which the player can then on their grid. A ship is sunk when all parts of the ship is hit. A player wins when all ships of the opposing player are sunk.
