Title
Vita: A Versatile Toolkit for Generating Indoor Mobility Data for Real-World Buildings
Abstract
Indoor space has emerged as a new research frontier for data management. It is very useful to have a versatile data generator that is able to generate indoor mobility data according to different user needs with respect to positioning rationale, data format, accuracy, etc. This work demonstrates a generic, user-configurable toolkit for generating different types of indoor mobility data for real-world buildings with a three-layer pipeline: 1) the \emph{Infrastructure Layer} accepts industry-standard DBI files to generate the host indoor environment, it also allows users to configure the generating of positioning devices; 2) the \emph{Moving Object Layer} offers a set of indoor moving patterns and distribution models for users to configure the indoor moving objects and tune the sampling frequency for generating trajectory data; 3) the \emph{Positioning Layer} generates raw RSSI measurements according to the positioning device data and raw trajectory data generated at relevant layers, it also supports all typical indoor positioning methods for users to choose and configure in order to satisfy their specific needs.
