Heat stress responses in mosses ‐ Project lab in Genome Analysis 1MB462 67615 VT2026

This project will follow, and partly recreate, the paper "Chromosome-level genome assembly of Niphotrichum japonicum provides new insights into heat stress responses in mosses" (Zhou et al. 2023). Niphotrichum japonicum is a bryophyte (moss) that can thrive in extreme conditions, thereby making it a good model when studing gene expression during heat stress. This project will use sequencing data from chromosome 3.
