The Blaze King crowned the fortresses of the Nether long ago. For much time, it has remained in a deep sleep encased in glass at the top of its tower, protected by countless blazes and wither skeletons throughout the surrounding fortress. Legends say someday one will awaken the king once more.

Spawning

The Blaze King is found at the very center of all Nether Fortresses on a high tower named the Blaze King Tower. After going through all 5 floors of the Blaze King Tower, you'll discover the Blaze King at the top encased in glass. Once the Blaze King is defeated, it wont respawn on that tower ever again, so you'll have to search other nether fortresses for more.

Attributes and Attacks

The boss has about 250 Hearts (500.0f HP), which may sound quite high but throughout the entire fight the Blaze King remains stationary; at no point will it move from its place. The boss is also immune to arrow projectile attacks. The boss is divided into 3 phases.

Phase 1

In the first phase, the Blaze King will release small fireballs at you like normal blazes, but will occasionally chain-fire them. You will be able to hear when a chainfire is about to begin when you hear a deep sizzling sound, followed by multiple small fire balls shooting. The Blaze King will cycle through large fireball attacks, an explosion, and blue fire.

Phase 2

In the second phase at around half health will begin. It starts with an introductory attack of invulnerability where the Blaze King cannot be hurt and its attacks must be dodged. After this section is complete, the phase proceeds similarly to phase 1.

Phase 3

In the final phase, the Blaze King will come in with a loud, angry growl, upon which will summon shields that create areas of damaging flame which you must avoid by jumping. Every 2 seconds, the blaze king will also fire large fireballs, creating an endurance phase where you must be constantly moving and still doing damage to the Blaze King.

The Blaze King does not despawn, however, if there is no player within 48 blocks away from it, all of its health will regenerate.
