About

The Crucible is a heavy, high damage sword that radiates a bright, heated energy. When hitting mobs, it harvests energy, and after harvesting enough energy can convert it into a powerful shockwave.

This weapon will not react well to being merged with netherite. Read more about that here.

Energy: Attack mobs to collect energy. Overtime you will passively lose 4 energy per second, and attacking with a different weapon will drain all your energy. Energy caps at 540 energy. You can switch items for a 5 second period and still maintain your energy. You'll still passively lose energy, and if you wait too long or use another weapon, all your energy will deplete.

Shockwave: When at 500 energy, press sneak to release a shockwave of energy. This shockwave can pass through multiple mobs and walls, dealing high damage and temporarily stunning mobs. The shockwave cannot be blocked with a shield.

Obtaining

The Crucible is found in its broken form, Broken Crucible, as 1/7 chests in any Bastion Remnant chest.

Once you have obtained the broken form, the filled form is obtained by crafting it, in which you can see its recipe by using /trigger spellbound_recipes in chat. Crucible is crafted by dropping the following items on top of a crafting table block:

  • 1 Broken Crucible
  • 1 Redstone Block
  • 1 Wither Skeleton Skull
  • 1 Netherite Ingot

Enchantment Enhancers

This weapon does not have enhancers, however it can utilize all Sword enchantments, Unbreaking and Mending enchantments.

Variants

You can drop the Crucible in a cauldron with any dye of vanilla's 16 dyes to change its texture and particle variant. These texture changes are purely visual and will not change the damage or effects of the Crucible.
