Spellbound Weapons has been updated to 1.21!

This update also comes with many new features and changes. Below are all the changes.


Weapon Crafting

Most previously craftable weapons are now crafted via crafting table UI!

  • Recipes have maintained most of their original drop crafting ingredients
  • When crafting a weapon recipe, a custom sound and particle is played for weapon crafting like prior
  • Weapons that still require drop crafting now give instruction on how to craft them via their item lore.

Weapon Durability

  • Weapon durability has been reworked with Minecraft 1.21's addition of custom durability.

Loot Tables

  • Bone Wands are now obtained from Ancient Cities

    • Their chance of generating is 1/6 from an ancient city chest
  • Mega Hammers can now be obtained from trial chambers

    • They have a 1/9 chance from dropping from a regular vault and a 1/3 chance from dropping from an ominous vault with light enchantments

Weapon Stats

  • Weapon stats now use vanilla's green texted system of displaying weapon stats

    • This means you can now compare Spellbound Weapons much more easily with other vanilla weapons

Thorn Blossom

  • Added a base diamond Thorn Blossom

    • This upgraded variant deals higher damage, has more durability, and lowered cooldowns.
  • Added a new Cherry Blossom Thorn Blossom variant

    • This variant gives the weapon a new texture as well as some new attack particles
    • Craft it by dropping a normal or diamond Thorn Blossom into a cauldron with a cherry sapling
    • You can revert it back to a normal Thorn Blossom with a moss block
  • Thorn Blossom thorn range decreased

  • Grapple can no longer pull the player up vertically, only horizontally

  • You can now grapple through mobs without getting stopped

    • These changes were done to encourage Thorn Blossom to be used more for swift movement in combat rather than as a grapple tool.

Dagger

  • Iron-Plated common dagger damage lowered from 4.5 -> 4 damage

  • Diamond-plated daggers now deal +1 more damage and have more durability

    • These changes were done in order to make daggers more viable and useable late game by adding an upgraded variant.
  • Daggers that generate in Monster rooms/dungeons now always generate diamond-plated

Mega Hammer

  • Mega Hammer now swings slightly slower

  • Mega Hammer knockback attacks now deals knockback and damage to mobs all around, not just the single one hit

  • Fortune 1-3 is now supported for increasing the knockback strength, not just fortune 3z

Magmus Charger

  • Magmus Charger full-charged arrows now take much more time to explode if they're still in air
  • Full-charged arrows now deal more damage to the mob struck directly by the arrow
  • Gravity changes to full-charged arrow

Blowgun

  • Flame no longer makes a firework explode on dart impact. Instead, it will just set the mob on fire

  • Blowgun darts now deal less damage when charged very little.

    • Medium or full charges will deal the full damage amount, allowing for more rapid fire hits.

Crucible

  • +10 extra energy is given now for each extra sweep
  • Gave crucible a hit animation

Bug Fixes & Optimization

  • Repositioned charged particles for some weapons
  • You can no longer very shortly charge a Magmus Charger to make it auto-charge
  • Fortune 3 mega hammer now works on players again and no longer spawns many markers
  • Internal tick clocks switched to /schedule functions
  • Removed
