About

Desert pyramids in Scorched have received a magical overhaul, with a longer and more interesting experience than vanilla desert pyramids. They maintain a similar exterior design, but the interior has been reworked into a multi-room, puzzle and combat structure.

Layout

Center Room

The center of the pyramid, entered through the front entrance. At the back of the room you'll find three item frames, which when filled with all 3 Frame Pieces scattered through the structure will aim lasers at the ground and explode it, opening the way to the basement. To the right of the frame pieces you'll find a decorated pot and suspicious sand blocks, which can be brushed with the Brush item to uncover loot.

TNT Trapped Rooms

To the left and right of the Center Room are TNT trapped rooms. The TNT inside explodes 1 second after being ignited by the pressure plates in the room. At the end of the rooms you'll find a chest with a Frame Piece.

Husk Combat Room

Right before entering the Center Room, two paths left and right lead to the two side towers of the pyramid and then to a room with a spawner. When nearing the spawner, 4 armed husk will appear. When defeated, you'll receive a Frame Piece.

Basement

From a stairway below the Center Room you can enter the pyramid's basement, which contains 4 loot chests protected by bindings and guarded by a Golem that shoots heated lasers. These bindings can be shattered by positioning yourself behind the binding and having the Golem shoot the binding, revealing the chest inside.

Entrance Buried Behavior

If the entrance of the pyramid is blocked by terrain, a hole will be carved through the terrain to allow entry into the pyramid.

Inside the Desert Pyramid basement

Loot

The loot to the structure is found in the basement of the pyramid after assembling all 3 frame pieces. In total the structure has 4 loot chests. Common items like sand, iron, gold and gunpowder can be found, and some rarer items like diamonds, enchanted books, and the Chirp music disc can be found.

Guaranteed in at least one loot chest you'll find a Dune Armor Trim. Every other chest has a 1/2 chance of having a Dune Armor Trim.
