Create default directories - lightblueseas/linuxstuff GitHub Wiki
Create directories for the development:
- main development directory (~/dev)
- application with no installation process apps(~/dev/app)
- main directory for data files (~/dev/data)
- documents (~/dev/doc)
- git (~/dev/git)
- github (~/dev/git/hub)
- gitlab (~/dev/git/lab)
- main security directory for development (~/dev/sec)
- keystores (~/dev/sec/keystore)
- servers (~/dev/server)
- main directory for test data and files (~/dev/test)
- temporary files (~/dev/tmp)
- more temporary files (~/dev/temp)
- workspaces (~/dev/wss)
You do that with the following command:
mkdir ~/dev && mkdir ~/dev/app && mkdir ~/dev/data && mkdir ~/dev/doc && mkdir ~/dev/git && mkdir ~/dev/git/hub && mkdir ~/dev/git/lab && mkdir ~/dev/sec && mkdir ~/dev/sec/keystore && mkdir ~/dev/server && mkdir ~/dev/temp && mkdir ~/dev/test && mkdir ~/dev/test/data && mkdir ~/dev/tmp && mkdir ~/dev/wss
Now you can create directories for useful IDE's. You do that with the following command:
mkdir ~/dev/ide && mkdir ~/dev/ide/eclipse && mkdir ~/dev/ide/netbeans && mkdir ~/dev/ide/jedit && mkdir ~/dev/ide/androidstudio && mkdir ~/dev/ide/idea
