The security level of these optical sensors is generally rated 3 on a 1 to 5 scale, with 1 being the most insecure and 5 being the most secure. As stated in the specifications, the False Acceptance Rate (FAR) is claimed to be less than 0.001% and the False Reject Rate (FRR) is claimed less than 1.0%.

In comparison, TouchID on iphones have a FAR of 1/50,000 or 0.00002 or 0.002%. This means that either these modules are really really good, or they are lying.
