One of the most popular optical fingerprint sensor is the one from Adafruit. This is due to their useful library and tutorials that enable beginners to implement the sensor with their prototyping boards in a few easy steps. There are, however, alternative options out there that will work similarly and able to use the library Adafruit provides for more budget consumers.
