Week 06 - lglik/Portfolio GitHub Wiki

9/26/18 - 10/02/18

Day One:

Absent

Day Two:

I worked on the guide for the whole day. Here is a link: README--Remote Programming on a Pi

Day Three:

When using Wing, all of the files and code are stored remotely on the Pi. This setup is not ideal if code needs to be moved around or if the Pi breaks. A possible solution to this would be to use to the PyCharm IDE to sync the files between the tablet and the Pi. After quite a lot of work, Wade and I were able to setup PyCharm to sync the files and to run the code that's on the Pi remotely. In order to make Git easier to use for everyone, I set up the full version of GitKraken on the tablet using a GitHub student account. I checked that GitKraken would work with files synced by PyCharm. It did work, and I created a new image of the tablet with Pycharm and GitKraken. I exported the settings for PyCharm so that they could be the same on all the tablets.
