End user stories
List available plugins to download
User starts opencpn and invokes a command which displays all available plugin downloads. This makes user understand if those downloads represents a new (uninstalled) plugin or an upgrade/downgrade option of existing one.
Uninstalling plugin
User selects to uninstall plugin which is completely removed from the system.
Installing, upgrading or downgrading plugin
User selects a plugin from list of available downloads. The plugin is then downloaded and installed, eventually being available to user.
Installing/uninstalling legacy, packaged plugins
Attempts to change such plugins should be blocked so that user does not tries to change read-only data.
Simple catalog update.
User selects to upgrade the catalog. The latest catalog is downloaded from the actual url and used to list available plugins.
Catalog Channel Update
User selects the catalog channel to use from a list of available channels so that subsequent updates is done from this channel. Each channel represents a different stream of catalog updates.
Advanced Catalog Update
User selects an advanced menu and selects among options to reset catalog to installation defaults, latest available or just stick with existing catalog so she can get a more fine-grained catalog control of the actual catalog to use.
Catalog custom URL
User selects a dialog which presents options to use an url to download the catalog so she can use an arbitrary catalog provider such as a plugin developer.
