Agenda

  1. DOE peer-review: Finish slides by Feb. 21 (dry-run on 22rd, due to DOE 27th)
  2. Kyle: Example OS measure, discussion on how to develop OS-Modelica API.
  3. David: Setup for "minimum viable product" with an end-to-end demonstration for a 1 zone model and an idealized system.
  4. Edwin: Update about heat conduction implementation.
  5. Michael: Scalable benchmark.
  6. Thierry: Update about FMI-QSS.
  7. Michael O'Keefe: Documentation/Meta-data Generation Tool Support (see proposal here)

Minutes

DOE peer review

All should be ready to send slides for the DOE peer review.

OpenStudio API

Kyle has been working on testing the packaging of JModelica as an executable. He will be working on the OpenStudio API this week.

Minimum viable product

David is working on the single zone model. He is using the BESTEST model.

Heat conduction implementation

Edwin will be working on the CTF in the next days.

Scalable benchmark model

Jianjun, a new hire, will work on the benchmark model.

FMI-QSS

Stuart might have a version of the standalone FMI/QSS solver ready for the peer review.

Documentation

Michael O' Keefe had a meeting with Mark Adams. It is not clear whether we will be using the commercial or open source version of the Optimica Compiler Toolset (OCT).

General

Michael Wetter met with Modelon in Lund (Sweden) which might be willing to license the commercial version of the Optimica Compiler Toolset to LBNL for a fee. The key benefits of OCT are high level functions to Abstract Syntax Tree, Access to analytic Jacobian, advanced steady state solvers.

Previous action items

  1. Michael to work on small prototypical building in Modelica.
  2. Dave to add VAV model to 1 zone test case.
  3. Kyle to prepare OS measures in order to move forward with how to design OS-Modelica API.
  4. Kyle and Michael O will be meeting to discuss the work to be done at BigLadder.

New action items

  1. All to work on preparing slides for the peer review.
