- Steps for "minimum viable product" with an end-to-end demonstration for a 1 zone model and an idealized system.
- Future meetings and project coordination.
The demonstration for a minimum viable product should start with an OS measure that loads a small prototypical building, attaches the HVAC to it, runs the simulation and presents through the GUI the result of the simulation.
Next steps for working toward this:
- LBL to set up a Modelica representation of the model to see the end-target on the simulator side.
- Kyle to set up a measure.
- Team to discuss how to design and set up tool chain to automate the process.
Amir recommends to focus on control and system simulation, and less on envelope. Envelope can be focused on later.
Work on an installer for all software is low priority, but will be needed later to get more people involved. For this FY, we can develop in Linux, and user Docker for certain pieces such as for JModelica integration.
We should eventually (but not for the minimum viable product) be able to translate OS envelope model, but probably not OS HVAC models because the semantics between OS/E+ and OS/Modelica is too different.
The OS model of the envelope is not expected to change much.
For the HVAC model, we could link to a .mo file that has all the HVAC and control representations. This will need to be further designed.
We will meet bi-weekly and coordinate using Slack.
