Inspired by the mimosa pudica "shy plant" from the Philippines, I wanted to give a fake plant its own feelings, movement, and voice. This particular plant's behavior ended up being hostile and antisocial.

Participants are invited to touch its leaves, which have FSR sensors embedded within them. When the sensors read a change in value, it will be as if the participant was being too rough with the leaves, and a motor attached to the stem inside the vase will shake the stem back and forth. Through Processing, a variety of sounds like growling or hissing will be triggered as if the plant is alive and vocal.

Changes in Iteration #2 include the addition of more sounds and motor patterns to different leaves, as well as a white cloth to hide the black Arduino USB cable.
