I’m trying to model in the writing:

• not complete exposition - I’m not stopping to define simple stuff that you can google and probably had in undergrad psych, e.g. correlation coefficients or IQ or whatever.
• clear recommendations - I’ll do my best here to expose the puzzles and uncertainties anD then give some practical advice.
• limited math - not no math but trying to minimize the formal treatment.
• slightly irreverent/funny tone - not trying to go overboard with this but just trying to make it a bit more fun to read.
• plenty of marginalia - we can rein this in later if we want to.
• reading recommendations - definitely good to show people where to go next.
• examples - struggling a bit to decide how in-depth to make the examples, but trying to flesh out abstract concepts wherever possible.
