Storyline & Characters

The Dance Battle takes place in a 80s themed fight club, where players are challenged to fight with different types of dance genres to see which genre is the best. In the current version of our fighting game, we only have the two hip hop boys to choose from. In the future if we would want to develop this game further, I will create more genre such as the jazz, ballet, and samba dancer, in which you could unlock as you complete more fights.

Originally we had plans to make two characters; one girl fighter and a boy. However after thinking about the time constraints that we had in order to complete the sprites of the game, the artist decided to stick with one boy character and focus on making more attack sprites. We then decided to change the color of the boy in to another color for differences.

The boy character can use the skills Block, Crouch, idle, jump, kick, left and right punches, upper cut, duck, walking, and death animations.
