Logbook — September 2026
Week of Aug 31st — The same failure class that produced the tip fix reappears on the build path, and the week is spent on it. A production report shows
POST /v1/build/disbursehanging for a minute in the provider acquire, the one path still unbounded after the earlier node-connection jam fixes. The fix bounds that acquire, and three follow-ups repair the deploy pipeline that would have shipped it.
Friday 4th
Bounded build path and deploy repair (PV)
Production showed the disburse build hanging 60 seconds inside the provider acquire, the single path left without a timeout after the earlier N2C jam work. #505 bounds it. Shipping that exposed the deploy job itself: it now deploys from the production host rather than over inbound SSH, puts the system profile on PATH (#506) and authenticates to ghcr before the image pull (#507). Format recipes in the justfile were also scoped to version-controlled Haskell files.
Week of Sep 21st — A single, quiet fix: the production node connection goes stale again, and the provider is taught to reconnect instead of failing every build until restart.
Thursday 24th
Provider reconnects to the node (PV)
Opened #509 after production builds began failing after 10 seconds again, the earlier jam recurring: the provider's node connection now reconnects when it ends instead of staying dead until a restart. It merges on 1 October.
Week of Sep 28th — Maintenance on the live treasury, then a clear-out of long-standing tickets. The week starts with a disburse bug where native assets were lost from the ADA treasury change, and an archived payment; it continues into October with a run of small CLI and correctness fixes (see the October page).
Wednesday 30th
Disburse keeps native assets in change (PV)
#510 fixes the disburse builder so native assets sitting in the treasury input are retained in the ADA change output instead of being dropped. The confirmed Cyber Castellum invoice 3536 payment was archived under transactions (#512).
