Logbook — October 2026

Week of Sep 28th — A burst of small, well-scoped fixes closes a backlog of tickets that had been open since May. Each one follows the same pattern: a short plan under the specs, a regression test, and a one-purpose PR. The themes are correctness at the CLI and builder edges (reward-account network, typed hash errors, multi-paragraph rationales) and operator ergonomics (vault relabel, --in/--out flags), with the stale-connection reconnect finally merged.

Thursday 1st

Production reconnect and correctness fixes (PV)

The provider reconnect (#509) merged, closing the recurring stale-session report. The swap permissions reward account now honours the network named in the intent instead of assuming mainnet (#513). A flaky smoke test traced to the vault passphrase prompt reading input typed before terminal echo was disabled; echo is now cleared first (#515). Several old tickets whose work had landed earlier were closed in the same pass.

Friday 2nd

CLI ergonomics and test hygiene (PV)

Byte-to-hash conversions return typed errors instead of calling fromJust (#516). The stale report.golden.json fixtures are regenerated and now compared in tests (#517). Disburse accepts multi-paragraph rationale text, matching the on-chain list shape (#518). The envelope commands gain --in/--out flags consistent with the witness commands (#519), and the vault gains a relabel subcommand so a mislabeled identity no longer has to be recreated from its signing key (#520).
