This page contains ideas for Masque Blizzard Inventory that may be implemented in the future. The inclusion of an idea here does not mean it will be implemented on a particular schedule.

Planned Features

  • Forever's Totem bar
  • Buff and Debuff bars
  • Buff icons appearing on player and target frames
  • External Defensives bar
  • Boss timeline buttons
    • Note that I have not investigated yet how plausible this is
  • Option to completely disable Cooldown Manager functionality at init time to reduce the chance of addon conflicts
  • Option to hide the zone ability and extra action button artwork

Long Shots

  • Support for custom alert animations on buttons

Features Not Under Consideration

  • Bars or buttons created by other addons (you should ask the addon author to directly support Masque)
  • Anything that is not a combat related square button (Masque is not intended for this)
  • Configuration screens or popups, such as Cooldown Manager settings, spellbook, or talents
  • Small icons on complex frames like raid frames or nameplates

Submitting Ideas

Ideas for inclusion in Masque Blizzard Bars must be related to the appearance of Masque buttons on action bar elements supported by this addon, or supporting new types of buttons that are arguably related to combat. Changes that help make supported buttons look better on the base UI will be considered. Reskinning of frames, layout changes, custom textures, and modifications of frame behavior will not be considered. Modification of frame behavior means adding new functionality that doesn't exist in the base UI. If skinning breaks an existing function of the UI, it counts as a bug and should be fixed if possible.

Another author is already maintaining support for Blizzard buff buttons worth checking out: Masque Skinner: Blizz Buffs. That addon has seemed unmaintained recently, so I am planning to eventually implement similar functionality.

If you use an addon you want to work with Masque, please reach out to that addon's author directly about adding support. It's pretty easy to do!
