eeu.stt β State/Region Catalog
Status: β Cracked and validated at full scale against real geography AND real cross-file content Β· 79 KB Β· NOT_COMPRESSED
The real "state" table β sub-national regions/cantons/provinces, one
level above eeu.cny's counties.
eeu.cny's own state_id field (cracked earlier, via
eeu.mod) is a foreign key straight into this
file β this page closes that loop.
Record format β cracked, validated at full scale (691 records)
94-byte header (record count 691 read straight from the header), then exactly 691 fixed 114-byte records. Every byte range was checked across the whole file (not sampled) for "always zero" vs. real content, giving an exact, unambiguous layout:
uint16 LE state_id -- ascending 0-690, primary key
bytes[22] -- always zero (691/691) -- eeu.mod's zoneID/
start_countyID/end_countyID/cover/bbox fields,
unpopulated -- the SAME pattern already found
in eeu.cny's own analogous region
bytes[36] name -- NUL-padded, in the parent country's own
language (matching eeu.ctr's own convention)
uint8 country_id -- CRACKED, see below
bytes[53] -- always zero (691/691) -- eeu.mod's
alpha_counties/countyID fields, unpopulated
name β real sub-national divisions, named in the parent country's own language
Confirmed directly: KRITI (Crete, Greece), GENΓVE/WALLIS/TICINO
(3 real Swiss cantons, German/French as eeu.ctr itself uses for that
country), VALLE D'AOSTA/PIEMONTE/LIGURIA (3 real Italian regions).
country_id β a real foreign key into eeu.ctr's own row order (a 3rd distinct country-numbering scheme on this disc)
Validated exactly against all 691 records, zero anomalies. Brute-force
checked against eeu.cal's
alphabetical-by-ISO-rank country_id first and found no matching
byte offset at all; checked instead against eeu.ctr's own literal row
position and found an exact match:
country_id |
eeu.ctr row |
Real country |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0 | SCHWEIZ (Switzerland) |
| 2 | 2 | ITALIA (Italy) |
| 13 | 13 | ELLADA (Greece) |
Extended to the full file: every one of 691 records' country_id
decodes to a real eeu.ctr country, summing to exactly 691 with zero
unmapped values. Sanity-check counts per country are plausible (Vatican
City=1, San Marino=1, Liechtenstein=2 β microstates; Turkey=81 β many
provinces), with one unexplained outlier (Latvia=119, surprisingly high
relative to similarly-sized countries β not independently resolved).
This is now the third distinct country-numbering scheme confirmed on
this disc β alongside eeu.cal's
alphabetical country_id and eeu.cty's own coarser per-country tag
(see eeu.cty). Every table that references
a country on this disc uses its own locally-consistent scheme, not one
shared space.
Cross-validated against eeu.cny's own state_id field β full set equality, not just spot checks
eeu.cny's 691 distinct state_id values are
the exact same set as this file's own 691 state_id values (both
{0, ..., 690}, verified by direct set comparison). 3 individual
spot-checks, each independently correct:
eeu.cny county |
state_id |
eeu.stt state |
country_id |
Real country |
|---|---|---|---|---|
CHANIA (Crete) |
0 | KRITI |
13 | Greece |
IMPERIA (Liguria) |
39 | LIGURIA |
2 | Italy |
SION (Valais) |
4 | WALLIS |
0 | Switzerland |
All exactly right β eeu.cny's state_id really is a genuine foreign
key into this real, independently-verifiable table, not a guess.
