eeu.il — Name / Intersection Index
Status: ✅ Cracked · 39 MB · NOT_COMPRESSED
A lightweight index that lets you look up an eeu.rd record by name
without scanning the whole 590MB road file.
Layout
- Same 94-byte header as every NOT_COMPRESSED file.
- Variable-length entries:
[11-byte prefix][ASCII name][0x00]. bytes[0:4]of the prefix (little-endian uint32) is a verified exact record index intoeeu.rd— it points at that same entry's name. Confirmed by decoding 20 real entries and cross-checking againsteeu.rd(this corrected an earlier off-by-one guess from an older session).- The remaining 7 prefix bytes are unresolved. When the GUI tool appends a
new
.ilentry, they're best-effort copied from a nearby similar entry.eeu.mod's own schema names one of them avnodeID("virtual node id") field — a promising lead for the long-standing GLOBAL routing-graph topology node-id↔coordinate mapping problem (distinct from the already-cracked per-tile local vertex adjacency). A later session, from the firmware side (README §2.6): found a complete, real, named resolution pipeline for this exact id —db_vid_get_map_id_V000/db_vid_get_pcl_id_V000→db_find_node/db_node→ a realVNodestruct →readNodeMP0reads it from an.mp0MAP_COMPRESSED tile. Names only, byte-level encoding ofvnodeIDitself still unrecovered — see theeeu.modpage andresearch/swl_5238_reader.pyfor the full writeup.
Practical notes
eeu.ilcan contain multiple entries pointing at the sameeeu.rdrecord index (observed on the real disc) — don't assume a 1:1 mapping when building a UI row id from a search result; use the row's own position, not the record index.- This is a separate, much smaller catalog than
eeuz.rl/.prl(see Name Search Catalog) —.illooks like a simple lookup index, while.rl/.prlis ~5.3x bigger thaneeu.rditself and carries sort-key-rewritten variants of each name. Which one (if either) the real unit's on-screen address-entry search actually uses is unconfirmed on hardware.
