Tenderbox

Replaces: Tinderbox Class: Pistol Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Captain Flynt
  • Sparky Flynt

Part Notes:

  • Cannot spawn with a sight.
  • Uses a Blue Bandit Body.

Firing Mode:

  • Fires piercing, short-lived balls of plasma that slow down.
  • Bullet explodes 7 times over its lifetime.
  • Splash is 100% Grenade damage.

Attribute Changes:

  • Increased elemental effect chance.
  • Higher fire rate.
  • Lowered damage and clip size.

The Tinderbox is very disappointing as a weapon, also it's lame that Flynt doesn't drop anything close to a flamethrower so we've fixed both.

Gub

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Pistol Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Laney White

Attribute Changes:

  • Reduced damage slightly.

Damage was slightly reduced, but we increased the base damage of Bandit Pistols so it evens out.

Perfection

Replaces: Fire Drill Class: Pistol Manufacturer: Jakobs Rarity: Effervescent

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Lt. Angvar

Firing Mode:

  • Shares its firing mode with E-Tech Railers.

Attributes:

  • Critical Hit Damage increased.
  • Accuracy, Spread and Recoil are greatly reduced.
  • Fires fully automatically.

Fire Drill is unused, even still a fire Infinity isn't that original plus Jakobs has no Effervescents.

Bone Shredder

Replaces: Vanilla Class: SMG Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Bone Head
  • Arguk the Butcher

Part Notes:

  • Uses a Blue Bandit Body.
  • Bladed

Attribute Changes:

  • Projectile Count increased to 4.
  • Spread increased to match.

We have double anarchy at home.

Orc

Replaces: Vanilla Class: SMG Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Warlord Slog

Mission Rewards:

  • Magic Slaughter: Round 5

Part Notes:

  • Uses a Blue Bandit Body.
  • Bladed

Attribute Changes:

  • Increased damage.
  • Reduced spread.

The extra stats were already coded on the barrel, but was unused since it required the gun to be a Dahl, likely because the Devs used a Dahl Barrel as a base.

Slagga

Replaces: Vanilla Class: SMG Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Tector & Jimbo Hodunk
  • Mick Zaford
  • Sorcerer's Daughter

Unchanged, and likely to stay that way.

Hellfire

Replaces: Vanilla Class: SMG Manufacturer: Maliwan Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Scorch

Firing Mode:

  • Bullet explodes for 60% Grenade splash. (50% Grenade splash before)
  • Splash radius increased to match Plasma Casters.
  • Splash will always ignite the target if it can be.

Attribute Changes:

  • Fire rate increased, damage increase removed.
  • Spread and accuracy improved.
  • Elemental Effect Damage increased to match E-Techs.

Splash was adjusted to be similar to its BL1 version and with the elemental effect damage changes it's very close to the original version.

Tattler

Replaces: Vanilla Class: SMG Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Seraph

Part Notes:

  • Bladed

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Oasis Seraph Vendor
  • Hyperius the Invincible
  • Master Gee the Invincible

Unchanged, may change in the future.

CHOPPER

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Rifle Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Dexiduous the Invincible
  • Pink Borok
  • Slagged Spore
  • Albino Skag
  • Two-Legged Drifter
  • Tailless Scaylion

Part Notes:

  • Uses a Blue Bandit Body.
  • Bladed

Attribute Changes:

  • Shot Cost matches how many projectiles it fires. (5 -> 3)
  • Doubled Clip Size.

Mainly made the cost per shot match the amount of bullets fired. Biggest buff is that it's actually obtainable.

Madhous!

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Rifle Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Mad Dog
  • Mad Mike

Firing Mode:

  • Projectile Speed has been doubled.

Attribute Changes:

  • Fires two projectiles per shot.
  • Damage reduced. (+100% -> -20%)

Makes it follow an "accuracy by volume" theme, overall damage was reduced because Bandit Rifles had their damage buffed.

Remakyr

Replaces: Peak Opener Class: Rifle Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Effervescent

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Haderax the Invincible

Firing Mode:

  • Fires three Holopoint E-Tech shots, that explode for 80% Grenade splash on impact.
  • One shot always goes straight.
  • The other two shots split evenly at the sides.
  • Follows a pattern where the two shots come out wider with each shot before resetting.

Attributes:

  • Stats are similar to an E-Tech Holopoint.
  • Has slightly less damage but fires 3 shots for 3 ammo, for an overall higher damage per second and per ammo.

Made sure that every manufacturer has an Effervescent Gun. This addresses the Peak Opener being fairly unoriginal and the Madhous! leaving a spot for a less gimmicky Bandit Rifle to fill.

Thre Dog

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Shotgun Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Rouf

Part Notes:

  • Uses a Blue Bandit Body.
  • Bladed

Attributes Changes:

  • Functionally identical to a Quad Barrel.
  • Ammo Per Shot reduced. (4 -> 3)

There was very little separating the Thre Dog from a normal Triple Barreled Bandit Shotgun. It's just that Blue Bandit Shotguns are solid and it was a somewhat reliable source in the early game while being a cut above its rarity.

RokSalt

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Shotgun Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Flinter
  • Dan
  • Lee
  • Mick
  • Ralph

Mission Rewards:

  • Splinter Group

Part Notes:

  • Uses a Blue Bandit Body.

Attributes Changes:

  • Very minor general stat improvements.

This is likely a carry over from UCP.

Jolly Roger

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Shotgun Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Deckhand

Mission Rewards:

  • Just Desserts For Desert Deserters

Part Notes:

  • Uses a Blue Bandit Body.
  • Bladed

Unchanged, may change in the future.

Sledge's Shotgun

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Shotgun Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Smash-Head
  • Muscles

Part Notes:

  • Bladed

Attribute Changes:

  • Fires twice as many projectiles for twice the cost instead of bursting.
  • Fire Rate reduced.

Bandit Shotguns just look wrong firing fast, so it now fires twice as much projectiles and ammo per shot.

Teeth of Terramorphous

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Shotgun Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Terramorphous the Invincible

Part Notes:

  • Uses a Purple Bandit Body, like other Legendaries.
  • Bladed

Firing Mode:

  • Shots come out wider and penetrate.
  • Blast Radius on the finishing explosion is increased.
  • Deals 180% Grenade splash on the finishing explosion, unchanged.
  • Deals 50% Grenade splash on impact, unchanged.

Attribute Changes:

  • Projectile Count adjusted due to Bandit Shotgun changes.
  • Ammo Per Shot increased. (1 -> 2)
  • Fire Rate reduced.
  • Damage increased.

All changes were made to make the Shotgun feel much chunkier and potent against larger enemies.

Gearbox Sniper

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Sniper Manufacturer: Jakobs Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Knuckle Dragger

Part Notes:

  • Parts are fixed at level 1, making it almost identical to a White Jakobs.
  • Can spawn with elements.

Attribute Changes:

  • Is Semi-Auto, increasing fire rate and lowering damage.
  • Spread is reduced.
  • Accuracy is increased.
  • Recoil is reduced.

Gearbox guns are now generally better than a Purple, this is also the only Semi-Auto Jakobs in the game now.

Fremington's Edge

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Sniper Manufacturer: Hyperion Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Reeth

Part Notes:

  • Has a unique Scope Part.
  • Bladed

Attribute Changes:

  • Works like a Shotgun while at the hip, with a projectile count of 5.
  • Works like a Sniper while aiming, with increased Critical Hit Damage.

Effective, Maybe? Interesting, not really. Fires like a shotgun at the hip to make it more interesting and to help offset the awkwardness of its zoom strength. Also Snipers have pretty good elemental effect stats so it's probably quite strong with the extra projectiles now.

Invader

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Sniper Manufacturer: Hyperion Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Saturn

Attribute Changes:

  • Damage increased.
  • Damage increased further while bursting, to match Dahl gun changes.
  • Fire Rate while bursting reduced, to match Hyperion Sniper changes.
  • Max Inaccuracy reduced.

Trust me it needed every single buff here, it takes so much and gives little in return. A White Droog can probably match its performance.

Volcano

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Sniper Manufacturer: Maliwan Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • The Warrior
  • Geary

Firing Mode:

  • Bullet explodes for 100% Rocket splash. (80% Grenade splash before)
  • Splash radius increased.

Attribute Changes:

  • Damage increased and fire rate reduced, to match the Storm.
  • Greatly increased elemental effect chance.
  • Increased elemental effect damage.

It's only niche is being a Sniper with decent splash which is a bit counterintuitive to the Sniper archetype, so we've doubled down on what makes splash strong. Also improved its power overall since element locked guns should be fairly potent to make up for their lack of flexibility.

Roaster

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Launcher Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Unique

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • Smash-Head

Mission Rewards:

  • Note for Self-Person

Part Notes:

  • Uses a Blue Bandit Body.

Firing Mode:

  • Shares its firing mode with Maliwan Launchers.

Attribute Changes:

  • Reduced ammo per shot. (2 -> 1)
  • Reduced projectile count. (3 -> 1)
  • Damage increased.
  • Greatly increased elemental effect damage and chance.

An absolute joke of a named gun. It now does what it was intended and can even keep up with E-Tech Launchers.

Badaboom

Replaces: Vanilla Class: Launcher Manufacturer: Bandit Rarity: Legendary

Dedicated Loot Sources:

  • King Mong

Attribute Changes:

  • Increased spread.

A subtle nerf, the increased spread means smaller targets are more likely to avoid damage and it requires you to get closer for full value.
