Premium Settings App

Every KiroTux edition ships its own settings app. You set up the desktop without editing config files. It opens with Ctrl+Alt+H: Kirotux Hyprland Premium in KiroTux Hyprland DMS, Kirotux Niri Premium in KiroTux Niri DMS. Both have the same pages; the niri app shows only what niri supports (no blur).

The app writes only its own settings file next to the edition's config, so your own config stays untouched and you can always go back to the edition defaults.

Look

Icons, cursor, font and light or dark style for every GTK app. DankMaterialShell colours your apps from the wallpaper; tick the box if you'd rather pick the GTK theme yourself. A banner warns when your settings are out of sync, and Fix all repairs them in one go.

Windows

Borders (with gradient), gaps, corner rounding, opacity, blur, shadows and animations. Changes show on your windows right away: Apply keeps them, Revert drops the preview.

Wallpaper

Browse the Kiro wallpapers or your Variety downloads and apply one, or step through Variety's collection.

No wallpapers here? The Variety collection stays empty until Variety has run once. Press Alt + N: Variety starts, downloads wallpapers from Wallhaven and sets the next one. You need an internet connection, and the first one can take a few seconds. Press Alt + N again any time for a new one. All Variety shortcuts are on the Keybindings page.

Displays

Resolution, refresh rate, scale, rotation and position for every screen. Changes show at once, and if you don't confirm within 15 seconds the old settings come back, so a wrong setting never leaves you with a black screen.

Mouse & Touchpad

Pointer speed and acceleration, focus follows mouse, natural scrolling, tap to click, ignore the touchpad while typing, and keyboard repeat with a field to test it.

Your keyboard layout, plus an optional second one to switch to with Alt+Shift.

Default apps

Choose the terminal, file manager, web browser and text editor that your keys open.

When to lock the screen, turn it off, and go to sleep. The screen is always locked before the computer sleeps.

A warmer screen in the evening, with a warmth slider. It uses DankMaterialShell's own night mode.

Every keyboard shortcut your desktop has right now, with a search box: type "terminal" or "super+shift".

Ready-made window looks (Kiro default, Minimal, Glass, Calm), your own saved looks with import and export, and Undo for your last changes.
