3. Printer Mount

Before installing the toolhead on the mount, check the repo to see what mount you need for your printer. The instructions for the most common mount option is below:

Split Screw Post Mount Instructions
Start by selecting the correct mounting plate for your printer. Most printers use the MGN12H option, so select the appropriate plate for printing and prepare your installation. We recommend the Split Screw Post mount for ease of installation and durability. If you cannot find the mount you need, check the user mod folders for other printer options or visit the Discord channel to see if your printer is supported. image
Choose the correct one for your system. 1.7mm should work with most systems, but due to inconsistencies between brands and manufacturers, you may need to use a different one. If you take your belts and fold them over with the teeth meshing, you can measure with digital callipers and should have a measurement of 2.3mm as your baseline.

- 1.5mm has been found to work best with economical HWIN clones like Fysetc, and if your belts are thinner than the baseline of 2.3mm
- 1.7mm works with HWIN, LDO, and Genuine Gates GT2 belts.
- 2.0mm is intended for Genuine Gates GT3 or thicker profile belts.

Start by inserting heatset (look at the hardware diagram). Insert M3x30mm SHCS at the top. image
Loop the belt from behind, and loop back in. Belt teeth will lock into each other image
Select the proper probe mount, then install two of the rail mount screws. image
Repeat the second step on the other side, and turn the mount out slightly so you can install it on the probe mount. Turn it into place, then start tightening down the screws. image
Final step is to add the front retaining plate pictured here that keeps the mount secure. image
