Usage notes

  • Use the gear shift lever to change between controller modes

    • Gear 5: Automatic mode. If the KSPSBC.dll plugin is installed, the controller will reconfigure itself and change modes automatically.
    • Gear 1: EVA mode
    • Gear N: Flight mode. Sets lights to the launchpad defaults.
    • Gear R: Ship editor mode
  • When in automatic mode, the Magazine Change light will flash until the state file created by KSPSBC.dll is detected. If this light remains on while playing, check the installation path in the KSPSBC.cs file. If there's still a problem, the KSPSBC.dll may longer be compatible with KSP, and you should revert to manual controller modes.

    • Note: The light will flash until you enter a scene that triggers a state event change, namely, the VAB/SPH, or flying a ship. It will stay on through the main landing screen, KSC, science and other buildings, etc. This is normal.
  • In flight and EVA modes, the Extinguisher button acts a "function shift" key. Holding this button down changes the key bindings for the buttons on the top row the center block. (The affected buttons will light up.)

  • In flight and EVA modes, enabling the VT-Location Measurement toggle switch swaps the Aiming Lever left/right axis with the Center/Right foot pedal axis. This swaps yaw/rudder with roll. (Typically, rolling with the aiming lever feels more natural when flying aircraft, and yawing feels more natural when flying rockets.)

  • The joystick and pedal mappings below assume you're using the [recommended settings](KSP configuration).
