Cisco Catalyst Center Templates - kebaldwi/DNAC-TEMPLATES GitHub Wiki
Welcome to the Cisco Catalyst Center Templates wiki. This repository is set up to help companies adopt better automation practices with Cisco Catalyst Center and to help them evolve toward an environment that balances business demand with device configuration. During the past 6 years, we have built several tutorials around how specific functionality may be adopted. Over the past few years, we have augmented those sections to include functionality from Plug-and-Play to Embedded Event Manager and everything in between.
The lab sections may be used in Cisco's DCLOUD environment or within an on-premise lab and are completely customizable to help you achieve your network engineer or architect goals. They start with Plug-and-Play and move towards templating advanced topics, culminating with Rest-API usage.
In the previous months we have updated not only the CODE location to include version control and release candidates, but rewritten and updated and consolidated the Wired and Wireless Automation Labs into a more concise and logical structure. They are complete with working examples of CODE which you can use in your own lab environments.
Updated labs are the following:
- Lab 1 Wired Automation - Covers green and brown field use cases (allow 4.0 hrs)
- Lab 2 Wireless Automation - Covers traditional wireless automation (allow 4.0 hrs)
- Lab 4 Rest-API Orchestration - Covers Postman automation of Cisco Catalyst Center (allow 2.0 hrs)
- Lab 7 CICD Orchestration - Covers Python with JENKINS orchestration via REST-API (allow 4.0 hrs)
Labs in Development are the following:
Lab 3 The Art of Templating (Target June 2025) Lab 5 REST API Orchestration with Python (Target June 2025) Lab 6 REST API Orchestration with Ansible (Target June 2025)
For feedback all feedback will now be moved to be tracked within the GitHub platform as of May 2025.
