There are sometimes advantages to using a non-stock kernel on Raspberry Pi. Alternative kernels include:

• PREEMPT_RT
• Low-Latency PREEMPT
• 64-bit kernel with 32-bit userland

Building

• check under "Releases" to see if a pre-built kernel deb package is available: https://github.com/kdoren/linux/releases
• or build your own: Building-PREEMPT_RT-kernel-for-Raspberry-Pi

Installation from deb packages:

• Installation-of-kernel-from-deb-package-(Raspberry-Pi-OS)

• Installation-of-kernel-from-deb-package-(Ubuntu)

• 64-bit-kernel-with-32-bit-userland
