The Wreck

On the mainland side of NeoTokyo Bay, Shimizu Mega City Pyramid was built across the bay from Koto City, thirty years after Landing as the second major city on NeoTokyo. Where Old Dome was allowed to fall into squalor, Shimizu looked as pristine as the day it was built, until the Dominion bombing, which left only a smoking foundation behind.

Before the bombardment it had a population well over 1 million, but there were few survivors. Those who made it out either stayed in The Wreck or moved into the expanding, modern city of The Sprawl.

The Wreck is a warren, inhabited by literally countless squatters: people who can't come to grips with the destruction of the city, people fleeing bounties, and the generally down-and-out. Yet there's more civic pride in The Ruin than in Koto City or the upper levels of Old Dome. There's even talk of organizing a rollerball team, the Wreck Refugees.
