Chance is barely scraping out a living as a blogger, but that’s okay. Even when she’s got a lease somewhere, she’s usually sleeping on the floor of a 4I hangout, or on Night's sofa. Mostly Night’s sofa. Well, nearly entirely.

Grew up on the Myatna-Nyseth Drift Arcology, where her parents still work as aerospace engineers. MNDA is a tech enclave, without the extremes of wealth and poverty that are the NeoTokyo norm. Her parents, like most MNDAnes, are corpier-than-thou and a bit fashy, of the “those people should just get off their drugs and their media and get a job” sort.

Accompanying her parents on a corp trip to Lavigne, one of the older arcologies, she saw what most of the world is like, and became radicalized, to her parents’ unending dismay. They supported her through school, thinking that anything called the “London School of Economics” ought to straighten her out and qualify her for a good analyst job. They didn’t realize her dissertation was on neo-communist economics of post-scarcity planetary autarkies…

Age 26, enough older than Night and Friction to matter a bit socially. Adores Night, and would definitely take that into a relationship, but Night’s apparently ace.
