XUbuntu WAN & Lan boxes

• We have two xUbuntu boxes, one on the WAN network and one on the LAN network. Below is the configuration process for both of those boxes.

xUbuntu Lan

1. First, change the hostname in the terminal with the command below.

hostname xubuntu-lan

2. Next, change the password of champuser in the terminal with the command below.

passwd champuser

3.Next, we want to set up the internet connections so our box has connectivity to other networks. We can do this using the GUI, and the final product of our network settings is shown below.

xUbuntu Wan

1. First, change the hostname in the terminal with the command below.

hostname xubuntu-wan

2. Next, change the password of champuser in the terminal with the command below.

passwd champuser
