🌐 Expansion Vectors

The SunShare-Connect™ Initiative is not a static model—it’s a modular infrastructure strategy capable of evolving across new verticals, industries, and communities. Below are the primary expansion vectors currently under development or consideration, each with its own roadmap, revenue logic, and social value.

☀️ 1. Airport Solar Hubs

Target: Small and private Texas airports with unused rooftop or perimeter land
Objective: Lease land or rooftop space to deploy solar arrays; sell energy via PPAs or direct-to-grid export
Strategic Rationale:

  • High visibility, low residential resistance
  • Public-private or HOA partnerships possible
  • FAA-regulated sites allow for scalable, repeatable compliance-based installs
  • Natural synergy with EV charging, broadband hubs, weather stations

Deployment Tools: FAA Form 7460-1, glare mitigation modeling, GIS solar feasibility overlays

🛰️ 2. SunShare Connect™ – Community Wi-Fi + Broadband

Target: Hospitals, community centers, schools, churches, airports, senior living facilities
Objective: Bundle free or low-cost broadband access with rooftop solar arrays as a public benefit exchange
Strategic Rationale:

  • Expands access to digital equity in underserved communities
  • Adds immediate utility to solar installations (beyond just kWh)
  • Qualifies for public infrastructure and broadband development grants
  • Enables partnerships with municipalities and public health organizations

Deployment Tools: FCC broadband maps, USDA ReConnect Grant Program, NTIA BEAD funds

⚡ 3. EV Charging Nodes

Target: Airports, fire stations, rural hospitals, highway-adjacent public buildings
Objective: Integrate Level 2 / Level 3 EV chargers into solar installs as grid-stabilizing micro-utility points
Strategic Rationale:

  • New revenue stream from per-kWh charging
  • May qualify for federal/state EV infrastructure grants
  • Enhances rural transportation resilience
  • Ideal synergy with battery storage and off-peak demand optimization

Deployment Tools: NEVI funding (DOT), Charge Ready Texas, Tesla Destination Charging partnership potential

🌾 4. Agricultural + Rural Resilience Sites

Target: Ag co-ops, rural farms, livestock operations, food deserts
Objective: Lease rooftops or open land for solar; include battery backup, broadband, and water-from-air tech
Strategic Rationale:

  • Enhances resilience of food systems
  • Strong appeal for ESG investors + USDA funding alignment
  • Enables water generation (atmospheric water generators) + food storage backup
  • Opportunity for decentralized power cooperatives

Deployment Tools: USDA REAP, CIG grants, carbon credit frameworks

🔋 5. Battery Storage + Grid-Integrated Infrastructure

Target: All SunShare locations over 50 kW
Objective: Integrate scalable battery systems to enable peak shaving, demand response, and emergency supply
Strategic Rationale:

  • Supports grid stabilization
  • Opens new monetization models (virtual power plants, utility incentives)
  • Increases value of each solar install during non-daylight hours
  • Prepares for blackout-resilient microgrids

Deployment Tools: Tesla PowerPack / Megapack, Enphase IQ8 Ecosystem, VPP software providers

🌍 6. International Replication Model

Target: Countries with unreliable grids and poor broadband access
Objective: License or fund similar SunShare-Connect micro-utility stacks internationally
Strategic Rationale:

  • Global brand expansion without direct infrastructure burden
  • Humanitarian and climate-aligned PR value
  • Franchise-style replication of install protocols, grid compliance, and local training

Deployment Tools: UNDP, USAID, Clean Energy Access Fund, international PPPs

🔭 Next Up

We are currently preparing visual overlays, utility data models, and funding frameworks for each vector. These expansion vectors form the roadmap for SunShare’s next stage—moving from a local energy experiment to a national infrastructure strategy.
