Beneath the surface, this board bears an extremely strong resemblence to early revision IBM Model Ms. I'm not sure what the intertwining history of the companies is but I would not be surprised if this board was made by IBM themsevles.

The barrel plate is a very interesting translucent plastic that's surprisingly hard to take photos of. It feels slippery to the touch and I suspect it's a self lubricating plastic of some sort. Conversion was done with a Teensy 2.0 running Soarer's Converter firmware. I replaced the spacebar with one from a trashed IBM model M since it's the one area that this board seemed to cheap out on.
