Although it's definitely seen better days this terminal was complete and in overall "good" shape. It's the standard text only, dumb type that talks over RS232. Thankfully a terminfo file for this specific model has been baked into linux for a few decades so it's plug-and-play with virtually any distro.

The keyboard itself is made by Cherry and is, as far as I know, an undocumented variant of their foam and foil/solid state capacitive design. All the other ones I've seen involve a metal plate with individual switches clipped into it. This board uses a couple plastic monoblocks that attach to the PCB and are presumably modular to accomodate multiple layouts.

The foam itself was in great shape with a lot of spring left in it. Whatever composition they use either ages better than Keytronic or I just got one that was stored in lucky conditions. I decided to leave it as-is for the time being although I did confirm that a replacement pad intended for a Keytronic board can function just fine.

The main shell of the terminal had some deep gouges which I filled in with some bondo glaze. The whole thing was sanded and hit with some color matched satin paint. I wasn't sure what color the face panels were supposed to be so I went with a textured paint that was color matched to the bottom housing. The visible part of the bottom housing was fine so I didn't bother painting it.

Internals were run through. None of the capacitors measured out of spec so they'll stay for now. The screen contrast potentiometer was corroded out so that was replaced. I reaffixed the old asset tag and it's ready to rock.
