Best Wiring Practices

Terminating Unused Conductors

1. Trim bare wire back to insulation.
2. Cut piece of shrink tube 1" long.
3. Slide shrink onto wire halfway. (.5" long)
4. Shrink tube
5. Fold end of tube over to seal wire end.
6. Slide another 1.5" shrink over original folded shrink.
7. Shrink second piece of tube to seal unused conductors.

Prohibited Practices

• Do not use wire nuts. Just don't. Please. Don't set your shiny new cockpit on fire.
