Sign up for an AWS account

In order to use AWS IoT TwinMaker, and create a custom version of the CookieFactory demo, you must have an AWS account.

###Create an AWS Account

To create an AWS account, follow the guidance from AWS documentation on Creating an AWS account.

We recommend that you do the following:

1. Create an administrative user, read the documentation on how to assign administrative access to an administrative user, and use only the root user to perform tasks that require root user access.

2. Secure your AWS account root user, read the documentation on Signing in as the root user, and turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your root user. For instructions, see Enable a virtual MFA device for your AWS account root user (console) in the IAM User Guide.

3. Create an AWS account key, follow the instructions on creating access keys.

4. Sign in with your IAM Identity Center user, use the sign-in URL that was sent to your email address when you created the IAM Identity Center user. For help signing in using an IAM Identity Center user, see Signing in to the AWS access portal in the AWS Sign-In User Guide.
