nothing really to report; Gregor Feig mentioned plans to organise a stakeholder meeting during the October week in Nairobi (see agenda item below)

Anne reports on registration of 18 Kenyan stations in OSCAR surface database; mainly raingage data Are information (start, length, sampling intervals, parameters) complete? Difficulties arose when uploading photos to OSCAR

report is pending but draft is close to be ready, only a few edits are open; Patricia will share the draft report with this group

Kennedy is still in charge of it; progress is unclear

  1. Report on data analyses of Mt. Kenya GHG measurements: Leonie shows some slides; CO2, CH4, CO, surface O3: time series, seasonal cycles, diurnal cycles, comparison with CAMS products The KMD webpage (maproom) allows to access plots of rainfall time series, Patricia will try to find out if time series (numbers) are also easily available. Leonie's presentation is available here (click on "Download raw file" to see the pdf).

  2. Timing and participation of a KADI meeting at KMD 16 or 17 July:

2h to 3h meeting when Jörg is in Kenya, Werner Kutsch plans to attend online; agenda items will mainly be the KADI deliverables; Patricia will confirm. Jörg also wants to meet with Gikungu about more general issues (agenda: report of achievements of the mission, prospects of the Kenya-Swiss collaboration under the GAW and G3W umbrella); KMD engagement

  1. Side-event during the GA 14-18 October on establishing a network of Kenyan organizations and individuals active in atmospheric composition and ecosystem flux measurements

Jörg and Lutz see the chance to organise a side event, an informal meeting to strengthen the engagement of Kenyan colleagues (atmospheric composition, ecosystem fluxes, air quality - climate - health nexus) KADI annual meeting starts Monday (noon) and runs till Thursday evening, excursion is on Friday. The idea would be to engage with other researchers related to GHG, air quality and health (e.g. from the ministry of environment or the University of Nairobi). Patricia and Jörg will continue the discussions.

Hannah: Virtual event program under Erasmus, had a meeting in April 2024. First activity intended for March 2025.
