String Beans with Shallots - joe-possum/recipes GitHub Wiki
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 large shallots, thinly sliced
- ½ cup water
- 12 oz string beans, trimmed
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Procedure
Sauté shallots in large skillet, stirring frequently, until soft and translucent, about 8 minutes. Do not brown.
Add the beans, salt, pepper and water; bring to a boil. Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 8 minutes.
Remove the lid and increase the heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the liquid is evaporated, about 6 minutes.
