Ingredients

  • 2 yellow onions, diced
  • 5 Gala apples, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped, or ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups stock
  • 2 cups crumbled cornbread
  • 1 cups chopped walnut lightly toasted
  • 4 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped sage

Procedure

Sauté onion and celery in butter 3-5 min.

Add garlic.

Add apples.

In large bowl mix cornbread, walnuts, spices and sautéd mixture.

Pour into 9x13 dish.

Add stock.

Bake at 375°F to desired consistency.
