Four DIMM slots support up to 1GB of PC100 SDRAM using the following DIMMs:

• 32MB, 64MB, or 128MB DIMMs (64-bit-wide, 64-Mbit technology)
• 128MB or 256MB DIMMs (64-bit-wide, 128-Mbit technology) 64-Mbit/128-Mbit refers to bits/chip. 256MB should have 16 chips (double sided), 128MB could be 8x 128-Mbit chips or 16x 64-Mbit. 256MB modules with 8 chips (256-Mbit) will only access 128MB.
