Adaptec

Adaptec BIOS maps SCSI LBA to CHS with 1 !MB cylinders of 64 heads and 32 sectors per track. Given BIOS limit of 1024 cylinder, this allows up to 1 GB access. For larger disks, there is an optional mode using 255 heads, 63 sectors/track for 8.2 MB/cylinder, up to 8 GB.

Bochs allows a maximum of 16 heads, however does allow greater than 1024 cylinders. 2048/16/32 will map to 1024/32/32; 4096/15/32 will map to 1024/64/32 which matches Adaptec mapping.
