the new field is added in SO, PO, DN, PR : at Parent Level

for us conflict is as of now only for SO : cost_center , in future can have in SO Item for cost_center.
Frappe Team has not introduced cost_center in child table for the above doctypes

options to take care :

1. before upgrade delete existing field : SO > cost_center ,
   db field remains as is , upgrade to latest instance,
   the data will be automatically reflect against the new field
   
2. safer side before upgrade , create a new field in SO Parent cost_center_cf , copy from cost_center to cost_center_cf
