Multi-Server
Remote Pro can manage multiple Transmission and qBittorrent servers.
Add servers
Open Settings > Servers > Add Server for each instance. Every server keeps its own client type, credentials, primary address, and ordered alternative addresses.
Tap the server name at the top of the torrent list to switch between a specific server and All servers.
All servers dashboard
The combined dashboard:
- Merges torrents from every configured server into one sortable and filterable list
- Shows a server badge on every torrent
- Sends actions to the server that owns that torrent
- Aggregates current download and upload traffic
- Keeps reachable servers usable when another server is unavailable
- Shows a compact online-server count while keeping available servers usable
Opening a torrent action from the combined dashboard automatically scopes the action and detail screens to the correct server.
Alternative addresses
Alternative addresses are additional ways to reach the same torrent service. Common setups include:
- LAN IP, VPN hostname, and a public reverse proxy
- VPN hostname with direct LAN IP and internal DNS alternatives
- HTTPS and direct-IP routes for different networks
Remote tries addresses in their listed order, remembers the address that last succeeded, and cycles through the list after timeouts, network failures, or selected gateway errors. Authentication failures are returned immediately.
Save the server, then use Connection addresses > Add address. Each address has its own host, port, path, HTTPS setting, and connection test. Authentication is shared by every address. Use the alternative-address menu to edit, make primary, or remove it.
Editing and removing
Open Settings > Servers, then tap a server to change its connection details. Removing a server removes its saved connection from Remote; it does not alter torrents or settings on the server itself.
