How to Install the UML‐Elements Extension in LibreOffice - jfvelezserrano/UML-Elements GitHub Wiki
UML-Elements is a gallery extension for LibreOffice. To use it, you need to have LibreOffice installed on your computer. You can install LibreOffice on Windows, Mac, and Linux by downloading it from the LibreOffice website or from your distribution's repository if you are using Linux.
One you have Libreoffice installed in your computer, you can install UML Elements directly from the Libreoffice gallery or from the extensions site of LibreOffice.
Installing from Libreoffice gallery
- Open the gallery of Libreoffice by clicking in View/Gallery from the main menu of any LibreOffice application.
- Click the "Add more gallery via extension" button below the gallery window in LibreOffice (see the image below).
- In the window that appears, type "UML" in the search field.
- Click the Install button.
Installing from the Extensions site of Libreoffice
- Open any LibreOffice application (for example, Draw).
- Click "Tools > Extensions" in the menu bar.
- In the Extensions dialog that appears, click "Get more extensions online..." or visit the extensions site of LibreOffice.
- If necessary, on the LibreOffice Extensions website, search for "UML-Elements" and download the latest version. You will get an OXT file named UML_Elements-XXX.oxt.
- Back in the Extensions dialog, click the Add button and select the OXT file you downloaded in Step 4.
- Restart Libreoffice.
Now, you can now access UML-Elements from the gallery sidebar of Libreoffice. If closed, to open the gallery window, click "View > Gallery" in the menu bar of Libreoffice.
